FAQ'sWhat exactly is this? Aidoru Cover Group is a group organization used for the purpose of entertainment. Our goal is to entertain by imitating artists such as Mini Moni, Morning Musume,Tanpopo, etc. What does Aidoru mean? If you say Aidoru enough it starts to sound like Idol which is what Japanese artists are called. But if you were to break down the two words, ai means love and odoru means dance. Put them together and it means I love to dance! I know what Jpop and Kpop means but what does H!P mean? Well as you may have known Jpop means Japanese pop music and Kpop means Korean pop music. Now H!P means Hello! Project, while Hello! Project may not be a genre it is a company in the Japanese music industry that showcases a rage of genres including pop, bubble pop, or r&b So I filled out the audition form, now what? After filling out the audition form an email will be sent you, telling you your audition time and location I am nervous about auditions, are you really strict? As it's stated on the audition page, your audition does not determine whether you get in Aidoru or not. Don't worry about the audition, it just to shows me where your dancing and singing skills are at. Have fun with it and don't worry, this is not American Idol. Where is your office location? We officially do not have an office location but we are currently working on that. For now practices will be held where I can find a free space and if you need to get in contact with me, call, or email me How will I know when my practice schedule and how is the scheduling done? It is very important to sign up as a member on the group's forum because that is where all the important information for your group is. The whole group's practice time will usually be on the weekends in the afternoon. Indivdual groups practices will usually be on the weekdays in the evening. If your schedule does not allow you to meet on any of these days please email the group's email address found on the contact page telling me when you do have free time so we can go over what you missed. I heard something about a strike system, what is that for? The strike system helps me keep track of your participation in the group. Not showing up for practices or causing drama or stress in the group will give you a strike. Like baseball, three strikes and you will either be put on suspension or given lesser parts in your group depending on the "crime." So it is always important to get in contact with either the leader of your group or me so we can know if you can't show up to practice. Doesn't that seem a bit harsh or strict? Believe me, it will not come to that as long as you do what your suppose to do. Remember, you're a big part of all of this so without you things cannot get done. Does this pay? No this does not pay. This is just for fun and from what I know accepting money would get us sued and who wants that? I'm a guy, am I allowed to join because I know Hello! Project consists of all girls. Yes of course you are allowed. Costumes will be modified for you so you don't have to wear skirts, if you don't want to. We won't only be performing Hello! Project songs but also songs throughout the Jpop genre. So all boy groups can be formed to imitate various guy groups in Jpop or Kpop. I don't even know what Hello! Project, Jpop, or Kpop is and I don't know how to sing the songs but I am really interested in joining, can I still join? Of course you can still join. If you are interested in singing the songs then I will work with you one-on-one on how to pronounce the lyrics, I'll even give you easier songs to start out with until you get use to it. But if you are not interested in learning how to sing it, then you can just become a background dancer. We could always use a lot of those I'm not interested in singing or dancing but I would like to help the group in some other way, how do I go about that? I could always use extra help so there are various other jobs available. You can work as a costume designer, mixer, website designer, or flyer designer. You could even help be a promoter. The more help the better I'm a little scared to perform in front of an audience that knows nothing about what we're doing or saying, so can we just perform at conventions? No, performing in places that people know nothing about the Japanese music culture will keep people interested and help spread the awareness of asian music. As long as you show confidence in what you're doing people will be drawn to it rather than shun it. And if they do, who cares, we just keep performing! How is Aidoru divided up? Aidoru, much like Hello! Project, is divded up into many groups and soloists. Some may consist of two people to a group, while others have ten. You may even be in more than one group. How do I become a soloist? Becoming a soloist really depends on how well you work in a group. You are going to be by yourself, in charge of your own songs and dance practices when I am not there to help you. But it does give you a big spot light. Being a soloist does not only mean singing and dancing by yourself, it means being part leader of Aidoru Cover Group, giving you a higher status than the subleaders of groups. Its a big responsibility, can you handle it? You will be notified if I want you as a soloist. I am interested in becoming a leader for my group, how do I go about this and what does it entail? Being subleader helps me out a lot and helps the other members. Being a subleader means that you will be leading your group to become the best amongst all other groups in Aidoru. You will be leading private practices, helping your group with recordings, help with the design of costumes, and help with the mixing of songs. I do some things for your group, but you will decide how far you want your group to go. To become a subleader go to the forum page and fill out the form. I'll review it and get back to you as soon as I can |
